Loving his Cheerios

Jude is growing so much.  I have not been good about giving him finger foods to try yet, but he loves his Cheerios!  He started making this face where he crinkles his nose very recently.  I'm not sure where it came from, but it is really cute.  Like Canaan at this age, he is a really good eater.  He doesn't care much for the baby food with meat in it other than the turkey.  But he is really good at eating all the fruits and veggies.  He has been eating 4 jars of baby food per day for several months now.

1st field trip

This week I joined Canaan for her first field trip.  We spent the morning at a local pumpkin patch.  It was fun and not-so-fun all at the same time.  Canaan was an absolute mess!  I am not sure what was going on.  I don't think I've ever heard so much whining.  We made it home with a pumpkin so I guess it was a success.  Here's hoping the next field trip goes much better.

My girl

I cannot believe how this girl is growing before my very eyes.  I wish I could tell you all about her.  She is funny, sweet, caring, loving to her brother, and a mess all in one!  I can't imagine life without her.

Peek-a-boo

Look who has discovered peek-a-boo!  And he loves it!  He is too cute when he grabs something and puts it in front of his face and then looks at you with those big round blue eyes.  Sometimes he will play peek-a-boo with something that doesn't really cover his eyes.  It is just as fun to him though.

Catch a TIGER by its tail

Yesterday when I picked Canaan up from daycare, this is what I found.  Canaan was not there, but the cutest tiger greeted me.  She said, "Mommy, come look in the mirror!"  I guess she didn't know I could see her face without looking in the mirror.  Then she gave me her angry tiger face.  When we got home, she gave me the many faces of a tiger.

swimming at the lake

We have visited this park on the lake many times since the weather has been nice.  Matthew generally plays fetch with Max and lets him swim while Canaan either swings or plays in the water.  This particular Sunday was very warm.  To get out of the house and to enjoy the sunshine, we took Canaan to the lake in her swimsuit and floaty.  She LOVED playing/floating in the water.  And Jude enjoyed watching her and Max.  It was a great way to spend a Sunday evening.

CUTEST Texas Rangers' fan

I'm not gonna lie...

Jude just may be the CUTEST Texas Rangers' fan ever.  He sure was happy the day we put on this Texas Rangers shirt.  He's so photogenic...generally a smile can be found on this sweet face.  We're so thankful for that!

Sibling LOVE

Yesterday I was taking Jude's picture with his stuffed monkey.  I take pictures of him weekly with the monkey so we can look back and see how he's grown.  I am sure it is overkill, but I have a neat flip book of weekly pictures of Canaan with a bunny her grandmother bought her.

When I was taking Jude's picture, Canaan came over and wanted to get in the pictures with Jude.  So I asked her to sit in the chair on her bottom and the sequence below is what I captured with my camera.  The quality of the photos is not great, but I love what I captured here.  Jude is so interested in Canaan.  As soon as he hears her voice, he starts looking for her.  Canaan is really sweet to Jude.  If he starts fussing or crying, she will start singing "Jesus Loves Me" to him.  When we're driving in the car, she will dangle his toys in front of him so he can grab them.  And she talks to him in a high-pitched voice and says "hey buddy."

I have a feeling these will always be some of my favorite pictures of Canaan and Jude together.
