March 2014

Canaan was supposed to dress silly for preschool.  I think she pulled it off nicely.

Another weekend adventure to Deception Pass State Park with the family

It is really hard to see, but there is a bald eagle standing in the water in this picture.

Jude loves to put his small toys in straight lines like this.  I frequently find his Little People in different formations all over the house.

There is a bit of a hill in our backyard that the kids like to race down.  On this particular day, Canaan was riding her Skuut while Jude ran.  They can do this over and over and over again.

We joined a friend's class on a field trip where there were a lot of instruments.  I think Canaan tried every one she was allowed to try.

Canaan loves to play with shaving cream in the bathtub.  Jude gets really upset by it  because the bathtub gets slippery and he always falls down.  It makes for some fun hairdos and faces.

By the expression on Jude's face below, you would not know that getting into this shopping bag was his idea!

Jude started playing hide-and-seek with us.  Until this point, Jude and Max would follow wherever I decided to hide...clearly giving me away each time.  On this particular day, Jude took off when Canaan went to hide.  He climbed into the laundry hamper in Mom and Dad's room.  I was thrilled that he figured out how to hide.  This was also exciting because Canaan tends to hide in more obvious places and continues to pick the same places over and over.

After being told at least half a dozen times to leave the cat alone at a co-op friend's house, Canaan cornered the cat.  She was pretty upset that it would scratch her.  More than being upset about the pain, she was upset that her feelings had been hurt.

"Peek-a-boo Mommy!"

Canaan's hair has grown long enough that I've finally started trying to "fix" it.  Most of the time she would rather I leave it down, but I hate that it is always in her face.

Back in January, Matthew told Canaan he would take her skiing.  Since it is so late in the season, this was about the only outfit I could find.  I figured it was good to get blue so that Jude would also be able to wear it.  Of course, Jude also wanted to try it on.

Anytime that Canaan is allowed to use her umbrella, she wants to get it out.

Ski Saturday arrived!  Canaan and Matthew got up early to hit the slopes.  Canaan took a class while Matthew skiied a bit (Mom and Jude stayed home).  I didn't get any photos of Canaan on her skis because Matthew lost his phone on the mountain.  Boo.
